Foaminess-ness No.9

My efforts at more colourful bubbles! [As always, more here]

A scientific aside: In the first picture, note the “globules” on the bubble surface, these are the result of the adsorption process of the Fairy dishwashing liquid, i.e. Fairy molecules are flamboyantly and unreliably sticking onto the bubble surface. This induces a phenomenon called the Marangoni counterflow which slows down the bubble film from draining under gravity and keeps the bubble alive! So the next time you see a bubble in the air:

Do say: Oh look, bubble!

Don’t say: “Oh gravity, stay the hell away from me..” :)

UPDATE: I’ve managed even more colourful bubbles here. [Warning: May cause colour overload :( ]
